Medical Directorships

As a "world-class" provider of dialysis care, DaVita^® is constantly searching for highly qualified clinical leadership for our clinics.

Medical Directorship Agreements (MDAs) are the vehicles that are commonly used to contract with qualified nephrologists, in order for them to provide medical oversight for the delivery of care to the patients in our centers. In addition, there are several qualifications to become a Medical Director.  These include, but are not limited to:

• All Medical Directors must go through DaVita's credentialing process.
• All Medical Directors must be board certified in nephrology, internal medicine or pediatrics.
• All Medical Directors must have completed a board-approved training program in nephrology.

Our purpose and objective in engaging highly qualified Medical Directors is to not only meet Medicare conditions for coverage, but more importantly, to ensure we provide the high quality care for all of our patients. We believe that if our philosophies and goals are aligned with our Medical Directors—we can achieve that mission.

Our Medical Directors are encouraged to communicate and work with our comprehensive Office of the Chief Medical Officer through the annual Physician Leadership meeting, monthly webinars and conference calls, emails, face-to-face meetings, e-newsletters, and our very own Physician Resource Center website.
